A Celebration of Birds on the Niagara

February 12th-14th

Avian Art 2021

Adults and Youth (ages 4-17) are invited to join Birds on the Niagara (BON 21) in celebrating the 3rd International Winter Celebration of the birds that call the Niagara River Corridor their home. Submit an original artwork to by Sunday February 28, 2021 to be eligible for draws for donated prizes.
By participating in this celebration adults and the guardians of children will automatically be giving permission to use the submitted artwork on social media, in published materials and on the websites of the following partner organizations: Birds on the Niagara, Niagara Falls Nature Club, Bert Miller Nature Club and the Peninsula Field
Naturalists. Submissions will become property of Nature Niagara and their affiliates and will not be returned.


One original artwork entry per participant. Upon entry you are certifying that your artwork is not a copy, and/or tracing of published photographs, artwork, magazines, book illustrations, or other materials protected by copyright laws.
No personal names are to be displayed on the front of the artwork.


Specific Niagara Corridor Bird Species listed on the BON website


8.5 “x 11” letter size paper


Pencil, coloured pencil, crayon, paint, pastel, marker and/or collage.

Artwork Details:

  • Label the name of the bird in large letters
  • Include ONE educational fact about the species
  • Art may include the bird in any pose
  • Art may or may not include a background


Scan or send a photo of the artwork to Include the following in the message of your email.

1. Adults- include your name, phone number and email

2. Guardians of children- Include your name, phone number and email. Include your child’s name and age.
